Providing 8000 KV Generators for Sarchinar Water Project
Along with the KRG and Directorate of Water effort for repairing water nets and solving its problems in Sulaimaniyah City Centre, Sulaimaniyah Governorate put its effort in action and inaugurated some significant projects which consisted of providing generator and huge water tankers.
On 13th September 2008 Dana Ahmed Majeed, Sulaimaniyah Governor accompanied by head of Water Director, Head of Municipality and mayor Sulaimaniyah, opened some water projects. Changing water net in Bakhtiyari (Shahid Aram) quarter and visiting one of the area’s Garden, considered as the first step of Sulaimaniyah Governorate’s visit. Later, Sulaimaniyah Governor opened the project of installing 8 megawatt emergency power station which its budget allocated by Sulaimaniyah Provincial Council in cooperation with ITSC, a British Company. This project serves Sarchnar water station, by providing electricity for it in the emergency cases. Also his Excellency and accompanied delegate inaugurated 1000 m³ tankers project in Bakhtiyari quarter which will be implemented by KRG. Constructing water tanker project, 2000 m³, in Grdi Joga quarter on Sulaimaniyah Provincial Council budget was another project which inaugurated by the Governor. In the last station of his visit, the Governor made a site visit of constructing “Parki Daik” and propound the engineers and the implementers some suggestions for following the project’s design in a best way. Opening these projects will affect the role of solving water problems in Sulaimaniyah City Centre, and Sulaimaniyah Government will put all its efforts in action for preventing any diseases caused by water.
