Sulaimaniyah Provincial Council Reassert on forming an Investigation Committee

 

On Wednesday September 2nd, 2009, with the presence of Sulaimaniyah Governor Dana Ahmed Majeed, Sulaimaniyah Provincial Council held a special meeting for rejecting some accusation of the media channels.

In the meeting which held in the attendance of the Chairman and Members of Sulaimaniyah PC, Sulaimaniyah Governor congratulated Kurdish and all the Iraqi people on the occasion of Ramadhan, also said the aim behind his visit to outside Region was for health check and sickness.

 Sulaimaniyah Governor revealed that after the elections some accusations was made against PC and governorate's officials and said: "Some of the media channels and parties blindly accused governorate and Provincial Council and they to put all the shortcomings on governorate's burden", that is why his Excellency suggested for the members of PC to decide on sending a request letter for each of the three Region Presidencies of new parliament, and Iraqi Nazaha Commission, for forming an investigating committee on spending the budget of both governorate and KRG in the last years, also another suggestion has been made calling the new Kurdistan parliament to speed up on specifying a date for Provincial Council's election.

 Later on with the most votes of Provincial Council's members, both suggestions approved.
